After 3 years of delivering HR support to a range of Clients in a number of industry sectors, e.g. construction and also security, I took a detour helping to set up a Domiciliary Care Business, which of course required the recruitment, induction and training of a completely new staff team, not to mention producing all the necessary policies & procedures.
This was an excellent experience due to it combining HR and small business set up\development (the business grew by 300% in just its 2nd year) Therefore it puts me in an ideal position to provide to SME’s and in particular start-up business. Once up and running my involvement was at ‘arms length but still providing day to day HR support\advice.
So on went the HR consultancy side of things. During this period a key development was the HR support I was offering began to be more focused towards the Social Care Sector and so as with the SME experience it provided me with an excellent insight into the nuances and particular idiosyncratic aspects of operating and managing employee issues within the Social Care Sector.
