Equal Pay Act 1970

The above is an image of the Equal Pay Act of 1970, there have been many more pieces of legislation over the past 49 years, but what hasn’t changed is the need to deal with employee issues\problems within the workplace in a way that utilises common sense and looks for a solution that ensure s that the employer minimizes the risk of a costly Employment Tribunal. In fact the plethora of employment related pieces of legislation means that it is probably more important now than it was 49 years ago.
